« The parking was a bit difficult as there were three or four rooms bunched together on a corner. Also the parking lot is in bad shape. From the outside it is all rather decrepit looking and I was almost hesitant to go into the office. But inside the office all was nice and the man on duty was very pleasant and helpful. « Description sur votre site erronée. Hotel auberge à remplacé par motel sans accueil (code accès erroné donné par sms) et sans restaurant depuis plus de 2 ans. La seule présence humaine pour cet établissement est le matin pour servir un petit déjeuner très léger. Le lavabo se situe dans la chambre mais douche et toilettes propres et séparés. Les pompes à essence que l’on voit sur une photo de votre site sont également inopérantes depuis plusieurs années. En conclusion ke prix est trop élevé...

« POOR maintenance: broken entry doors to hotel; fitness room closed; broken window shade in room; mold throughout bath area; NO towel hooks except on bath door; no microwave or refrigerator; unreliable air conditioner; masking tape on door. POOR breakfast: almost burnt sausage daily, cold biscuits, few choices. At least there was a friendly, professional front desk staff. I could not cancel my stay because it was booked months in advance. »

« We really didn’t know what we were getting into but this place is a beautiful gem on Smith Mountain Lake. All new, clean, serene. They have kayaks and standup paddle boards. We brought our own floats and did a lot of swimming. We went over to the state park and height, explored some of the historical markers in the area, and there’s plenty of biking and kayaking in Roanoke, which is only about 40 minutes away. The owners are very dedicated and friendly. We loved it and plan to go back. »
